Supplementary Security Income allows you to follow a Clear path from your first dives up to more advanced levels. You can start from scratch, get your first certification, and from there, continue with advanced programmes and specific specialities. As you complete specialities and log dives, SSI recognises you with new titles that reflect your real experience as a diver.

Start your SSI dive training

The Open Water Diver it is Most important initial certification within recreational diving.

It's the course with which you learn the real basics: theory, practice, and essential techniques for diving safely and independently with a buddy of equal or higher level, in environments equivalent to your training and to depths below 18 metres.

If you prefer to start more progressively, SSI also offers the Scuba Diver programme, a shorter option designed for those who want to try diving without doing a full Open Water Diver course yet.

With this training, you will learn the essential fundamentals and gain a Certification enabling you to dive to 12 metres always accompanied by an SSI professional.

It is a very useful alternative for Gain confidence in the water and progress at your own pace.

Furthermore, you can easily update this training later on Open Water Diver and thus complete the full certification without starting from scratch.

Your next step: Advanced Open Water

Once you're an Open Water Diver, you can continue progressing in two ways: by exploring different types of diving or by going straight into specific specialties.

The Advanced Open Water Diver programme it is intended as a practical way to try different areas before deciding on which specialities you want to focus on.

You will carry out 5 dives en DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS discipline, which will allow you gain experience, improve your comfort underwater and better understand what type of diving suits you.

If you're unsure which specialties to choose, the Advanced Open Water Diver is the best way to try them out, gain experience, and define your path as a diver.

But if you're already clear on what type of diving interests you, we'll recommend heading straight to Specialities, so that your progression is faster, more efficient, and more adapted for you.

SSI Specialties: The Next Level

After the Open Water Diver, and also after the Advanced Open Water Diver, Yes, you can start doing SSI specialties.

This is where you training becomes much more personal. Instead of following a closed path, you choose the areas that really interest you: improve your buoyancy, orient yourself better, dive deeper, go on night dives, explore wrecks, and much more.

Each specialisation you complete gives you a self-certification. In other words, you don't just advance through “levels,” but also through concrete and applicable experience in the water.
