You will learn to identify the components of a total diving system, choose the most suitable equipment according to your needs, and carry out correct cleaning, inspection, and maintenance.
It’s a very useful specialisation for those considering buying their first set of equipment, as well as for divers who want to take better care of the gear they already use.

EQUIPMENT TECHNIQUES It's the speciality that allows you to stop using equipment automatically and start really understanding how it works.
You will learn to recognise the main components of your Total diving system, understand its function and appreciate which settings best suit your type of dives, experience, and goals.
You will also practice basic procedures for Cleaning, inspection, preventative maintenance and storage, fundamental for keeping the material in good condition and reducing preventable failures.

Do I need to have my own equipment?
No. You can undertake the training even if you don't have your own equipment yet. In fact, it's especially useful before you buy it.
Do I need to be a certified diver?
The training is aimed at anyone interested in better understanding and caring for their diving equipment. You can offer it without requiring prior certification, subject to the centre's internal criteria.
How long does the course last?
The usual duration can be organised between 3 and 6 hours, depending on the student's pace and the practical part.
Are there any diving sessions?
No. It is an academic and practical surface specialisation focused on knowledge, review, and basic equipment maintenance.
Will I learn to repair regulators?
No. The course does not replace technical training or maintenance carried out by an authorised service. You will learn basic care, problem detection, and when to consult a professional.
