SSI Explorers is a programme designed for younger divers, typically aged 10 and over, which introduces them to the wonders of diving in a safe and fun way. It's focused on exploration and discovery, teaching essential diving skills while encouraging a love for the underwater world.

SSI Explorers It is a programme created for boys and girls to approach the sea and the underwater world in a safe, educational and fun way.
Through age-appropriate activities, they can discover the Snorkel, the Scuba diving, the Recreational apnea or mermaid-type experiences.

It's not about turning them into adult divers all of a sudden., but to help them gain confidence, learn safe habits and enjoy the water in a positive way.

From what age can they participate?
SSI Explorers is designed for children from 6 years old.
For activities with self-contained diving equipment, the minimum age is usually 8 years old.
Do you need to know how to scuba dive?
No. The programme is designed for children with no prior experience. The important thing is that they feel comfortable in the water and can follow basic instructions.
Is it safe for children?
Yes. The activities are carried out in a controlled area, with supervision from SSI instructors and adapting the experience to each child's pace.
Where is the activity taking place?
The activity takes place in a controlled water area of Port de Badalona, provided that safety, visibility and water conditions are suitable.
Can parents be present?
Yes, as long as the activity's logistics allow. For many children, having their family nearby helps them feel more secure.
Is it the same as an Open Water course?
No. SSI Explorers is not an adult diving certification. It is a children's programme to discover the aquatic world, build confidence and learn good foundations in a fun way.
