What do I need to get the Advanced Specialty Diver?
You need to complete 4 SSI specialties and have at least 24 dives logged.
Do the specialty dives count?
Yes. All dives performed during specialties count towards the total.
Can I do it if I already have some specialisations?
Yes. If you have previously completed specialities, they will be taken into account.
You will only have to complete the ones you are missing.
Do I have to do the 4 specialities consecutively?
No. You can do them at your own pace.
We help you plan it efficiently.
Does this level allow me to work as a diver?
Not yet.
It's an advanced recreational level.
The next step would be Stress & Rescue and after that Divemaster.
How long does it take?
It depends on your availability.
You can do it in a few days or spread it out over several weeks.
How many dives does each specialty have?
It depends on the speciality.
Most SSI specialties include among 2 or 3 training dives, although some may vary.
For example:
- Specialties such as Buoyancy or Navigation they usually have 2 dives
- Specialties such as Deep or Night Diving They usually include 2 or more dives
- Others like Nitrox They can be primarily theoretical (without mandatory immersion)
In any case, we will explain exactly how many dives each specialty includes before we start.
